We look forward to seeing them in the ring this Autumn.

Syd is my first PH.  I've wanted one for ages - no endless grooming, no worrying about twigs, etc in his coat, just pop on his rain coat and go for a walk anywhere, any time, any weather.  Or that was the plan - Sydney doesn't do rain, he won't even get up in the morning if it's wet - hounds it seems are the same regardless of coat length!!! A happy, out-going dog he loves eating Afghan's ear-fringes, digging huge holes, tearing up cardboard boxes and having his back rubbed by my children.

He's had a great start to his show career winning Best Puppy at Crufts 2006, RCC at (May) SKC 2006 and is the PH Celtic Junior Winner 2006 - St Partick's Day Show.

Christened, as a puppy, by the Afghan Fraternity as "The Monster", Syd is now maturing into a respectable(?) gentleman!  He and Suedden get the same comments when they appear at the Afghan Rings - "Claire, your dog's dropped all it's coat!" and "OMG cover them up, they're naked!" Once Syd's breeder Anthony was stopped by some Afghan friends of mine and was asked if his PHs were related to Syd....  Anthony then proceeded to introduce the beautiful CH Ankors Behutet (breed Bitch CC record holder) as "Syd's Mum"!!!!

(In Ireland 7 Green Stars are required from 7 different judges for the Irish title - 

to date Syd has 7 Green Stars, 7 Reserve Green Stars, 4 BOBs, a CACIB and a BIG3.)
