Katie is my elder daughter and very keen on showing the Afghans.  She first hit the ring at the Afghan Hound Club of Scotland's Open Show 2004 where she handled Birkhall Nippie Sweetie (Lucy) to 2nd in Veteran  (Old Lucy showed Katie beautifully!!). 

 An outing in Junior Handling with the Deerhound, Tique, left Katie complaining that she couldn't see over the dog!!!  Since then she has persuaded Granny that Flora (Sashkan Black Crystal 1CC) should come out of her supposedly permanent retirement and they would both go into the Veteran Bitch classes.  This has resulted in 3rd at YAHS 2006, 3rd AHCS 2006 and BEST VETERAN IN SHOW at NEAHS 2006 where Katie famously told the judge "we're both 9 and a half".

Katie is now hoping to have a shot in the ring with Flora's daughter Luna (Birkhall Annabel)  Watch this space...
